2024 New Year Address by President Han Chen, Ushering in the Glorious Year of the Loong

Dear Esteemed Members and Colleagues,

Greetings to all! As the new year dawns, we embark on a journey through the Year of the Loong, a symbol of prosperity and dynamism. Standing at this threshold of the past and future, I, representing the Pique Committee of the Chinese People's Sports Association, extend my heartfelt wishes and greetings to each and every one of you.

Over the past year, through our collective efforts, we have successfully navigated the establishment process of our committee and convened the inaugural conference on November 23rd of last year. This milestone event attracted a cadre of aspiring individuals who have joined our esteemed ranks. Presently, the committee's development has begun to take robust shape. In the subsequent period, we have enhanced the establishment of various functional departments, crafted the "Rules for the Pik Sports Competition of the Chinese Ethnic Minority Sports Association," and established a comprehensive training and certification framework for Pik coaches, referees, and athletes. Additionally, we have conducted two rounds of referee training in renowned universities.

Concurrently, we have embarked on providing technical guidance and support to several renowned sports events nationwide, earning a sterling reputation. Our core members have actively participated in various domestic and international competitions, achieving noteworthy results that have further broadened the committee's visibility and influence.

Looking ahead, we are committed to upholding our principles of diligence, unity, and innovation, striving to promote the development of Pik sports in China. Let us join hands and forge ahead, creating a brighter future for Pickleball together!

As we embark on the new year, the Pik Ball Committee remains steadfast in upholding the spirit of "unity, friendship, exploration, and progress," striving to further advance the development of badminton. We are committed to organizing professional and thrilling competitions, as well as diversified and specialized training activities, to provide ample opportunities for communication, showcase, and learning. Through these efforts, we aim to gradually establish a renowned brand competition and an authoritative training certification system, gaining widespread recognition from peers both domestically and internationally.

Moreover, the incoming year promises to be a momentous one for badminton, filled with both challenges and opportunities. As society evolves, badminton must also adapt and innovate to align with the changing times. Therefore, we are eager to explore novel development paradigms, foster closer cooperation and exchanges with other domestic and international sports organizations, and collectively propel the sport forward.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and invaluable contributions to the committee's endeavors over the past year. We also encourage all members to actively engage, continuously enhance their skills, and contribute towards the committee's growth. Let us unite and forge ahead towards a brighter future! As we celebrate the auspicious Year of the Loong, I wish you all good health, prosperity, and boundless happiness. Thank you, once again, for your dedication and support.
